Transforming yourself for 2014 Give me 30 days!

Over the course of the next month, everyone is going to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season, it affects us all somewhere along the line. Some people will get overly joyed, some will get overly depressed, and some will stay in the middle of the road, looking to change things in their life to make 2014 a much better year.  To all of you, I say keep reading…. you might find something to help you out along the way.

My teacher, mentor, friend is doing a 30 day challenge starting tomorrow, and I would love to challenge you all to join me in the 30 day journey to transform your life. All you need is an open mind, a willing spirit, courage, some cleaning supplies, a goal and the desire to change. Will it be easy, for some yes.. for others, maybe not. But the fun in it is that with a willing spirit, desire to change things,  an open mind, and belief, you will get results. Everyday for the next month, I will be here encouraging you along this journey as it is one that I am taking as well. I can offer insight, and help and will answer questions as I can. Here is the link to the program.

Click the above link and it will take you to the page to learn more about the challenge. (I am not taking credit for the material that you will read, now or in the future, nor am I claiming to have any rights to the material. I do, however, have permission from the Author to use links to her pages and reference to her and her material). Thank you Silver.

I know that there are some of you who will step back after looking over the challenge and say, “No thanks” that’s where the open mind comes in at. You have got to at least try to understand that we as humans have minds for a reason and that they are not to be shut down, because of something that we have read or heard. It’s all about having an open mind and a willingness to achieve the high potential that we all can achieve. But, it is up to each and everyone of us to take the first step. I can lead the horse to water, but I refuse to force water down anyone, except myself 🙂 I am a huge coffee drinker, that’s my water 🙂

This kind of reminds me of the movie, “Practical Magick” with Sandra Bullock, where the aunts have them call the school phone tree and tell everyone, “to grab your broom and come on over.” Except the results will be different and you are transforming yourself. Clearing the way for 2014 to bring blessings and good fortune to you in every way. The only requirement is that you believe.

Yes, the holidays will be hard for some, I am aware of that, but I will be here each and every day trying to offer insight that should perk you up a little. Maybe even a laugh or two along the way. Each day, starting tomorrow, I will do a two part blog, the first will be in reference to the 30 day challenge, then the second part will be about life in general. Who knows you may even teach me something along the way 🙂

So jump over to that link, (I will post it again at the bottom), get a feel for what we are doing, and sit back and see what happens and where the road leads from here on.

To answer a question that I have been asked privately, I will give more details about myself in a later blog.

Until tomorrow morning, Have a great day! Enjoy your coffee and believe in yourself, it makes life a little bit better.

When the stresses of the holiday season, start getting the best of you, take a step back and begin to think about the things in your life that you are thankful for. I know at times it is not easy to focus on the good, when there could be so many things going wrong, but just for one second, close your eyes and think about something that you are thankful for. It can be a simple thing or a complex thing.

As you focus on this one thing that you are thankful for, you should start feeling that your stress levels start to reduce. As the stress levels rise again, think of another thing that you are thankful for, continuing this throughout the day and before you know it the day will have been conquered and you have just gave thanks to all the positive things in your life.

The biggest thing that I am thankful for is my sister. She was diagnosed Leukemia on March 16, 2012 and was told she had a 20% chance to live for two months. She has fought a tough fight, she has showed me what an inspiration a person can be even in the face of adversity. She is still to this day fighting this battle but each day, she grows stronger and has such a wonderful spirit and giving soul that she has inspired me to believe in miracles. Yes, there have been many prayers and many tears along the way, but I am happy to report that her bone marrow tests keep coming back at 0, she IS winning this battle.

I am thankful to many teachers that I have had in my life that ranged from regular schooling, through college and into mid life. I can name the most influential ones by name to this point, but I wont, might be boring. There is one worth mentioning though that has offered guidance  and instruction and has re lit a spark in me to show me I can still follow my passions and keep moving forward. She is an instructor, author, leader, guide and inspiration. I asked for her to do healing prayers for my sister and as you see above, there is power in prayer. She stated in an email, “That we’re two little ships on that big sea that have docked together for a while.” I am not sure if she would be thrilled if I used her name, but S.R. thank you from the bottom of my heart…. I am thankful we docked together for a period of time.

I am thankful for the military that defends out country, I am thankful for all teachers who give effortlessly of themselves, I am thankful for the police officers that patrol our streets to make them just a little safer, I am thankful to the firefighters that don’t give a second thought to entering a burning structure, risking life and limb. I am thankful to the Native Americans that sacrificed so much.

These are just a few of the things that I am thankful for, each one takes a little stress off when I am thankful for them.

This blog will be informative and guiding and hopeful you will take a little piece of this and it might make your life a little better, one step, one day at a time.

I am sure that I may bring up subjects that are not easy to swallow, or maybe even rub you the wrong way, but, I know there will be things that you can take from here that you need and leave the rest behind. I will be offering links to different subjects and links to different ideas.

Rest assured, I will not try to tell you what decision to make, or what path to follow or tell you how to run your life, I am only here to offer suggestions and maybe help a little along the way to make things a little easier for you.

I will try to answer comments and questions as I can.

Until the next time,

Blessings to you and your family…
